What´s the name of your band? As Light Dies.

How was the band formed? Just like the other bands, a group of people who believed in the same project.

Can you tell about your band? Yes, I could, but you have to be more specific.

Where are all band members from?/Who does what in the band? We are from Madrid, but there are some members from Guadalajara.

What was the ambitions of the band when you started? Just making some good music.

Could you explain your music to someone that haven’t heard you? We an Avantgarde atmospheric math-metal from the arid and depressive plains of Iberia.

Where was your first gig? In Madrid, 2003.

Where was the latest gig? In Madrid, 2013.

Who writes your songs?/Who writes the music who writes lyrics? Nightmarer

Who has the best since of humor in the band? Strudle the Albino

What are your songs about? About many things

Do you write your own material or mainly covers? Our own material.

Have you made any albums?/If yes what are they? We have 3 albums released.

How old are you?/What got you started in music? I am 35 years old. I make music because I love it, and I wanted to do my own.

At what age did you start playing? 9 years old, more or less.

How old were you guys when you first stood on stage? 23 years old.

What year was the band started? 2003

Best/worst gig you’ve played? Difficult to choose.

What places will you be playing in in the imidate future? Nowhere. We are not playing alive anymore.

Have you had any bigger tours from start to now? Not big at all.

How big crowds do you usually play for? Im’ afraid that not really crowded.

What are the plans for the rest of the year? To survive.

Where do you usually play? At home. 

What are your goals with your music? To reach the more people the better.

Is it easier to get your inspiration from older bands or from bands more modern? I don’t use to get inspiration from bands. I got inspired with some essences.

What are your sources of inspiration? Drugs, fantasy, horror…

What’s the first step when making a new song? Be inspired.

What would be your dreams for the band? I don’t have dreams with my band anymore.

Besides your own music, what genres and bands do you listen to? Many.

Have you been part of any other projects? Yes, with many.

Have you been in any other bands? Yes, I’ve been and I am.

What’s the funniest/most memorable thing a fan has done for you? Buying an album of our band.

How often do you rehearse? We only rehearse if there are shows on sight.

Where do you rehearse? In a rehearse room.

What do you feel is the best live band you’ve seen? I have seen many bands, and I have no favourites.

What drives a band that isn’t all that famous and renowned to try to make a living on their music and to keep playing? Everyone has their own guideline.

Any pearls of wisdom for all other bands out there? Do the music for yourselves.

Describe your show, visually and musically. Music with a lot of dynamics with some videos explaining the songs.

How do you view the musicindurty of today? Music industry is dead.

What advice would you like to give other bands? Do the music for yourselves.

What are the biggest obstacles for a band? The death of the members

Whats your Pre-show ritual? To drink some Pacharán (a liquor)
